Factory-backed Radical Racing Rebels drivers Rachel Robertson and Hamish Forrest have been preparing for the next round of the Fine Cut Radical Cup UK by jumping into some advanced simulator training courtesy of TwentyOne Performance.

Based near Brentwood, Essex, TwentyOne Performance’s dedicated racing simulator facility is headed up by Rolex 24 Daytona winner and multiple Radical UK and Radical Europe Champion Bradley Smith.

Using a genuine SR3 cockpit for the highest level of realism, the TwentyOne Performance sportscar simulator offers a wide selection of high-fidelity cars, tracks, and software specifically developed for TwentyOne Performance. The company also provides comprehensive tuition and driver development services, ranging from individual track days to season-long programs. Additionally, TwentyOne Performance can create custom simulator solutions for home use and offers support and training worldwide.

“It’s the closest thing you can get to actually racing on the track!”

Hamish remarked, “It’s such an amazing opportunity to use the simulator here and learn from Bradley. With the real SR3 cockpit, it’s the closest thing you can get to actually racing on the track.” Rachel also expressed her enthusiasm about the experience, saying, “I’ve really enjoyed using the simulator to familiarise myself with Brands Hatch ahead of the real race, and Bradley’s expertise has been invaluable when reviewing my data.”

Rachel and Hamish were selected as Radical’s drivers and ambassadors after a rigorous selection process. In collaboration with Wera Tools UK and Alliance Racing, Radical is providing them with a fully sponsored season in the 2025 Fine Cut Radical Cup UK. The initiative was set up with the shared goal of supporting up-and-coming British karting talent. Rachel and Hamish both competed in the Wera Tools British Karting Championships and now, as a result of their success and promising performances find themselves part of the coveted Wera Alliance Racing Academy. The visit to TwentyOne Performance is one of the many opportunities Rachel and Hamish will have to develop as drivers this season.

Radical is aware of how valuable a tool a racing simulator can be for driver development and track familiarisation. We have a flourishing community of sim-racers that take part in a global iRacing championship, as well as a presence in all major simulation titles -including iRacing, Assetto Corsa, and rFactor. The SR3 XXR was introduced to Assetto Corsa in January 2025; since then, there have been over 30,000 downloads of the virtual race car. The iRacing Radical Esports Cup official series broadcast is available to watch live on YouTube on the iRacing channel.
