The Radical RXC, 10 years on and still going strong

The RXC was first introduced in 2013, marking a departure from Radical's previous designs. Unlike the open-cockpit design of earlier models, the RXC features a closed cockpit.

The Radical RXC boasts a striking design that seamlessly blends aerodynamic efficiency with aggressive styling. The closed cockpit is reminiscent of a Le Mans prototype, giving it a fierce and purposeful appearance. The aerodynamics have been meticulously honed to provide optimal downforce and stability at high speeds, ensuring maximum grip and agility on the track.

Under the sleek bodywork, the Radical RXC houses a potent powertrain. The car is typically powered by a high-performance V6 engine, delivering an impressive 654 bhp. The lightweight construction of the RXC, coupled with the powerful engine, results in an exceptional power-to-weight ratio, propelling the car to astonishing speeds with sensational handling.

Stepping inside the Radical RXC, one finds a minimalist yet purposeful interior designed for the ultimate driving experience. The racing-inspired bucket seats, a comprehensive digital display, and a well-positioned steering wheel ensure that the driver remains focused and in control at all times.

The first RXC was completed in January 2013 in time to be unveiled at the Autosport International Show in the UK, and along with three other RXC models was used purely for testing and development. The third chassis was used to develop the new Ford GT and went on display as a Ford GT prototype around the world. In August 2013 the first customer RXC was delivered through Radical France, as a blue left hand drive car with a 3.7L RPE engine. Shortly after another RXC was handed over to a customer at Spring Mountain Resort via Radical Nevada, the first of many to land in the United States.

In 2015 with the launch of the RXC Turbo 500 full European Type Approval was achieved for the RXC after a year of certification including crash testing, emissions and noise assessments. This meant the RXC could be road registered in any European Community member state as well as a host of other countries worldwide.

Also in 2015 a white Radical RXC owned by Don Hoffman won the production exhibition class at Pikes Peak.

In 2017 a special edition RXC Turbo 600R was unleashed at Goodwood Festival of Speed to celebrate two significant milestones; Radical's 20th anniversary and 2,000th car manufactured. Later the same year one of two RXCs imported into China won the China GT series, supported by Radical China and Xtreme Motorsports.

In 2023, 10 years since it's original launch, this latest Radical RXC wearing the optional full carbon fibre bodywork is destined for the US via Radical California.
