For this season the Championship will feature two 50 minute races, rather than two sprint and one enduro format of recent years.

Both RJ Motorsport and Valour Racing are in for a busy weekend, with multiple entries. Young Thai racer Brian Huang has joined RJ after previously contesting the Asian Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series. Brian has a motorsport background as his family run BC Racing, suppliers worldwide of suspension components.

Returning for a second year are Matt Yard and Ross Board. “Survival is my aim and one chassis every five years,” Board reckoned. Yard who only started racing last season can’t wait for the seasons action to start. “I’m really looking forward to it, big time,” he added.

Laura O’Connell raced at Donington Park at the end of last season, her Radical debut. “When the chance to race in the championship this year came up, it didn’t take much thinking about. I am fairly optimistic and my target is to be in the top 10,” he explained.

Scott Marshall is moving up from the Radical Club Challenge and Lowen Stephens will be debuting this year, having stepped up from the Radical Club Challenge to complete the RJ line-up. Both Stephens and Huang have already raced this year in the Radical Europe rounds at Mugello and Spa Francorchamps.

Former SR1 Cup racer James Ockenden heads the Valour squad. He was third in the Championship in 2023 and is now stepping up to an SR3 XXR.

Byron Crawford is better known for his SIM racing success. he made his Radical last season in the Donington finals meeting and has also raced in Enduroka.

Lena Galyo graduated through karting in Hungary and like Crawford had her first Radical race at Donington last season.

Valour’s final entry sees multiple Karting Champion Cian Geraghty making his car racing debut. He is also contesting the 2026 GB4 Championship with Scorpio Motorsport.

We are welcoming back two of Radical’s long-standing supporters too, with RSR’s John Macleod and 360 Competition’s Andy Lowe going head-to-head again for the Fangio Trophy. Both have been racing in Europe already, not forgetting that Lowe also contested the Gulf Cup and North American Radical Championship’s last season too.

Vikram Sudera also joins the RSR team, having moved up from the Radical Club Challenge. He also raced in the Porsche Boxster Cup a few years ago.

There will be plenty more rivalry too with two University teams. The vastly experienced Shane Kelly is in the Wolverhampton car, an ex British F3, Formula Renault and more recently sports car racer, while Derby have Radical Club Challenge Champion Gordie Mutch at the wheel of their SR3 XXR. Kelly and Mutch have raced against each before in the Praga Trophy.

Sam Venning and Tom Hodge complete the entry, Venning having his first ever race with Tim Gray Motorsport, while Hodge is another teenaged karting graduate, debuting with North Motorsport.

The action starts with a qualifying session at 9am on Saturday, with the first race at 14.35. Then it’s lights out for the second race at 12.45 on Sunday.
