Radical expands Scandinavian presence with appointment of Radical Denmark

Radical Denmark has officially launched, giving Danish customers dedicated local access to Radical’s range of British-built race cars, technical support and global racing community.

Operated by STEP Motorsport and led by former Radical racer Morten Dons, the new dealership combines local customer support with first-hand experience of Radical competition, creating a direct route into track driving and racing in Scandinavia, Europe and beyond.

The appointment strengthens Radical Motorsport’s expanding global dealer network as the company approaches its 30th anniversary in 2027.

Morten Dons’ own relationship with Radical stretches back more than a decade. After racing a Radical RXC in 2016, Dons was appointed as a Radical factory driver for the 2018 Radical European Masters, competing in an SR8 and taking victory at Estoril.

That experience is complemented by STEP Motorsport’s recent success with the marque. The team entered Radical Cup Scandinavia in 2025 and secured the championship with Sebastian Schou in its first season, while Morten Strømsted claimed the Masters title.

STEP moved onto the international stage in 2026 with Radical Cup Europe, where Sebastian Schou and Morten Strømsted finished second in the SR3 class in the championship’s inaugural season.

The team’s latest Radical outing came at the Radical World Finals at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where Strømsted finished second in the Fangio class, underlining the experience Radical Denmark brings from competing at the highest levels of the global Radical racing community.

That motorsport success and experiences underlines Radical Denmark’s credibility that stretches from Dons’ own time behind the wheel to operating cars at championship level today.

Since the first Radical was completed in 1997, more than 3,000 cars have been produced at the company’s Peterborough headquarters. Radical’s range – comprising SR1, SR3 XXR, SR10 XXR and RXC models – continues to be designed, engineered and hand-built in the UK.

That product range is supported by an international racing network, giving owners opportunities to compete at circuits around the world. Radical Cup Scandinavia forms an important part of that pathway for Danish customers, with Radical Denmark supporting drivers looking to join the championship and progress further within Radical competition.

Founded by Dons in 2018, STEP Motorsport has developed from a driver coaching and management business into a race-winning operation with experience across Formula 4 and prototype competition. That driver-development focus will underpin Radical Denmark’s approach, supporting customers as their experience and ambitions grow.
