Radical Cup North America heads to Road America this weekend, June 19–22, for Round Three of the 2025 season. Supporting the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Radical Cup will feature over 30 cars on track across the competitive Platinum, PRO 1500, and PRO 1340 classes, showcasing some of North America's top sports car talent and closely contested championship battles.

“Returning to Road America with such a deep field and coming off three thrilling races at Barber Motorsports Park only adds to the excitement,” explained Radical Motorsport’s Tom Drewer. “We’ve seen multiple winners already this season, which speaks to the competitiveness of our drivers and teams, and some real standout performances, especially from the likes of Wayne Williams, Raiden Nicol and Brady Clapham. And Road America never disappoints—its layout rewards bravery, skill, and consistency, and I expect this weekend to be one of our most exciting yet.”

Platinum Class

The Platinum Class will feature 12 fierce competitors. ONE Motorsports returns with a trio of drivers led by triple Barber race winner and former ALMS champ Jon Field, current points leader Wayne Williams, and a past SCCA Runoffs winner in Chip Romer. JBR fields four entries: Jim Booth, along with Scott Wagner, David Alban and Wisconsin’s own Louis Schriber, who is also in the championship hunt. Ben Blander represents Team Stradale in the #134 machine, while Dale Dillon is a newcomer for this weekend (Graham Rahal Performance). Steve Jenks (Group-A Racing) currently sits second in the standings and will be one to watch, whiles James Long (Primal Racing) completes the lineup of 425bhp Radical SR10 machines.

PRO 1500 Class

The largest class with 14 entries, PRO 1500 is led by Primal Racing’s Raiden Nicol, who has dominated the first two rounds of the championship. With six wins from six starts, the big question is can anyone knock Nicol off the top perch this weekend? Attempting to do so will be Primal teammates David Mason, Luke Kendall and Chris Huhn, however the biggest threat may come from Valour Racing’s Jack Yang, who won at Road America last year and sits second in the class championship as well as leading the Gold subclass points. Brothers Arul and Valen Venkatesh will be vying for bragging rights with the Cameron Racing Radical Northwest camp, while Englishman and Finecut Radical United Kingdom regular Andy Lowe adds more depth, as does JBR teammate Richard Durocher. Three other young guns to look out for are rising talent Spencer Schmidt (Graham Rahal Performance), son of IndyCar legend Sam Schmidt, Vaughan Glace (Proper Performance), who steps up from a win on debut in PRO 1340 at Barber, and Racing with Autism ambassador Austin Riley, who sits third in the standings and has found the podium each weekend so far this season. Look out too for Dennis Kelly (Group-A Racing), and Mike Anzaldi (RYNO Racing).

PRO 1340 Class

Team Stradale may lead the way in PRO 1340 this weekend with Autobahn Country Club standouts Mike D’Ambrose Sr. and Aaron Zeigler running the full weekend, while Mike D’Ambrose Jr., Andrew Marks and Adam Gagne are expected only to join for Thursday’s test day. Dermot Ennis, who currently sits third in points, may have an ace up the sleeve, as Ennis Racing partners with RYNO Racing for engineering this weekend, while Graham Rahal Performance’s Kenny Naill looks to build on a strong start to 2025, which sees him sitting second in the championship. Canadian Brady Clapham (RySpec with YD Auto Group) enters the weekend holding a 56-point advantage over Naill, and has to be the class favorite, having been ‘Mr Consistency’ so far this year.

With the season nearing its halfway point at the conclusion of the upcoming weekend, Road America represents a crucial event in the chase for the 2025 Radical Cup North America championship titles.

Drivers will hit the track Thursday, June 19, for a Promoters Test Day ahead of official sessions starting Friday. Qualifying and races can be viewed live at the Radical Motorsports YouTube page.
