Radical Motorsport and Hankook Introduce new Ventus R54 Tyre

Developed exclusively for Radical competition, the new Hankook Ventus R54 brings performance benefits and weight saving, ahead of its global rollout in January 2027.

Radical Motorsport will introduce the new Hankook Ventus R54 across its global racing network from January 2027, giving competitors a lighter, higher-performing tyre developed exclusively for Radical competition — a focus reflected in the R54 name, with the ‘R’ standing for Radical.

Developed for the SR3 and SR10, the new tyre delivers gains in dry grip, degradation and performance throughout its life, alongside a 4kg weight reduction per set. The result of an extensive development and track-testing programme, the R54 replaces the outgoing Ventus C52 and is the latest product of Radical’s technical partnership with Hankook, a global leader in tyre technology.

An optimised compound and advanced casing construction have enabled those improvements without compromising the durability and consistency of the outgoing tyre.

The R54 has been engineered around the characteristics of Radical race cars and the demands of competition worldwide, combining Radical’s engineering and racing expertise with Hankook’s experience in high-performance tyre design, construction and compound technology.

Radical’s partnership with Hankook began in 2018 and has developed into a long-term technical collaboration supporting racers across its global competition network. Working with industry-leading partners such as Hankook enables Radical to draw on expertise from beyond its own organisation, while developing products around the specific requirements of its cars and customers.

Radical will mark its 30th anniversary in 2027, with continuous evolution of the customer racing experience remaining central to the company since its foundation. With no external technical rulebook dictating development, Radical is able to refine the package around the needs of its cars and racers.

The R54 is the latest example of that approach, delivering a tangible performance benefit across the global Radical racing network.

The Hankook Ventus R54 will be available to Radical competitors worldwide from January 2027.
