Ian Cook, the creative force behind Popbangcolour, is internationally acclaimed for his distinctive painting style, which involves using remote-controlled cars, car tires, and toy car wheels as paintbrushes. His innovative approach and passion for cars have led to collaborations with major automotive brands and appearances at prestigious events worldwide.

Unveiled recently at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the "RadAndCool" SR3 XX features a dynamic, hand-painted design that encapsulates the spirit of racing, showcasing 32 circuits around the world that have been involved in the 14 Radical Cup championships.

Now heading to Silverstone Circuit to be raced in the fifth and penultimate round of the 2024 Hagerty Radical Cup UK, by Mexican LMP driver Ian Aguilera and supported by the experienced RAW Motorsport.

Follow the "RadAndCool" SR3 XX action 27/28 July on social media here, plus all three races will be live streamed to the Radical Motorsport YouTube channel here.

The collaboration between Radical UK and Popbangcolour began in April at the exclusive pre-season track day where Ian created one of his #PaintWithCars creations live in the Radical Donington showroom, entirely painted using toy cars on a giant canvas, bringing the SR range to life…

For the rest of the 2024 Radical Cup UK season every registered driver will receive a unique #ContinuousCar drawing of their Radical, a project that began during the global COVID-19 pandemic whereby Ian would live-stream his drawing to various social media channels and complete within 60 minutes. Joining the live feeds were guests from the automotive industry such as Shmee150, Nicolas Hamilton, Jade Edwards, Colin Turkington, Petrol Ped and Paul O’Neil to name a few.

The individual Radical drawings will be presented to drivers at the annual Night of Champions evening taking place on the final weekend at Brands Hatch.

Since 2007, Ian has combined his passion for cars and art, creating a range of artworks and projects. Highlights include painting a portrait Lewis Hamilton the size of a 3-storey building, breaking a Guinness World record and having artwork featured on Top Gear.
