Featuring Radical Cup champions and vice-champions, this diverse assembly of talent underscores the international appeal of Radical’s high-octane competition. With a grid of drivers hailing from Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East, the event will highlight fierce rivalries and new alliances, all with the breath-taking backdrop of Yas Marina.
Two weeks ago the Gulf Radical Cup got underway with an opening round at Dubai Autodrome, Mexican driver Ian Aguilera claimed a clean sweep of wins and proved he could be the in-form driver to beat in the PRO1500 class at the World Finals. However, current Vice Champion Usmaan Mughal also showed promising pace by setting the fastest lap in the final race of the weekend.
Radical Cup North America overall champion Jordan Missig will be another one to watch in the popular PRO1500 class, however he’ll face competition from his Graham Rahal Performance teammate and sim-racing star, Suellio Almeida, who will be stepping up into the PRO1500 class having recently won the North America PRO1340 championship.
In the Platinum (SR10/SR8) class Radical Cup UK Vice Champion, Oscar Joyce, will be piloting an SR10 XXR competing against tough competition from the UK, USA, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
After two successful World Finals in Las Vegas (2022) and Portimao (2023) the bar has been once again set high for the third year, combining a world-class circuit with a luxury hotel, the W Abu Dhabi.
With more than 9 hours of testing opportunity in the days leading up to the Final, the drivers will first compete in 3 heat races, earning crucial points that will then determine the starting grid for the World Finals race on Sunday.
All race action will be livestreamed at YouTube.com/RadicalMotorsport
